My Family- Joe (hubby) and Jackson {May 2014}

I am a natural light & studio light photographer specializing in families, children, newborns, seniors, and weddings. My style is fun, natural, and modern. I enjoy working with families and children in a laid back, relaxed setting to turn your favorite moments into art. In addition to photography, I am a certified elementary teacher (currently not teaching and doing photography full time), wife to Joe, and mommy to 5 year old Jackson and 4 year old Leah Jane. I love spending time with my sweet and hunky husband, decorating our home in Indianapolis, HomeGoods & TJMaxx shopping, long walks down every aisle at Target, and smothering my two kiddos with kisses.

I have always been attracted to photos that tell a story and capture not only how you look at a given point in time, but who you are. I love to photograph families and children interacting naturally, tender moments between couples, and real, genuine smiles. In each of my sessions I try to get both traditional ("posed" shots) and also candid, more natural looking shots. It's my number one goal to capture images that YOU will be 100% happy with, so we'll work together along the way to achieve any vision you may have.

My business is based in Indianapolis, IN (We moved from southern Indiana to Indy in Oct 2015) and the surrounding areas. Let's meet real soon!

My Story

Once I brought my little boy home from the hospital in 2013 (born 11 weeks premature and spent a scary and long 2 months in the NICU) I became determined to never let a moment or a memory get trapped in an iPhone photo if it didn't have to. (I still love my iPhone and love iPhone photography!) I worked hard to harness the ability of my DSLR that had been sitting in the closet and figure out how to make the vision in my head become a reality. It took a lot of hard work, trial and error..and error...and error, reading book after book, and taking thousands of pictures of my baby boy (he couldn't get away yet...haha), learning about my gear, learning about computer software, and attending workshops before I began seeing the results I always wanted. (I am a certified elementary teacher, currently doing photography full time). I honestly believe being a photographer was something I was meant to do. I always tend to create such lasting friendships with my clients, and by the time the session is over we all feel like family! I absolutely love working with people and getting to know each and every person I photograph. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your story.

 Email me at to book your session. I look forward to hearing from you!
